Recently, Australian authorities required a translation of my Thai wife’s birth certificate by an accredited NAATI Professional Translation service. I was also impressed that the English translation included footnotes of cultural references, which were included in the Thai birth certificate, but do not directly translate into an English document/birth certificate.

As such, it was great to discover a NAATI registered translator also servicing clients in Thailand which meant that the translation of our third daughter’s Thai birth certificate was recognized by Australian authorities, whether outside or onshore Australia, and also done at a reasonable price.

As a further bonus, given our daughter was also eligible for NZ citizenship, we found that Steven’s professional NAATI accreditation was also accepted under Australia-New Zealand mutual recognition agreements.
